Meet The Team

david aloka
[ david (dah-VEED) aloka ] was born and raised in Latin America — Puerto Rico, Colombia, y Venezuela — and brings that heritage to Latin dance instruction. Having studied social Salsa, Bachata, and Argentine Tango in New York City, Boston, and LA, david has been teaching salsa workshops and classes in the Capital Region since 2013. Beyond personal dance practice, david has also performed Afro-Caribbean Percussion with Ensemble Congeros, Troy Samba, and the Berkshire Bateria, and actively collaborates with dance companies, musicians, and theatrical groups to develop body-movement controlled performance technology.

Isabaila
[ Isabaila ] studied classical dance techniques since she was 6 years old. She performed with the Princeton Ballet School including productions of Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice in Wonderland. Since 2009, she has focused on social dancing techniques including both LA and NYC Salsa styles and Argentine Tango. For Isabaila, dancing is both a great way to stay in shape and make new friends, as well as a way of life.
